The most interesting person EVER, my cherished Aunty Nora Marjorie Gladue-Calliou. She was born on July 27th, 1938 in a tipi in Kelly Lake, B.C. I not only honour her remarkable years of wisdom and strength but also the profound impact she’s had on my life, and the lives of countless others. Aunty Nora embodies resilience, accomplishment, and an unwavering spiritual strength that has inspired me beyond measure. Through our heartfelt conversations and shared experiences, she has illuminated the path back to my roots, sparking a profound re-connection that resonates within me to this day! As we embark on this journey together through Project 100, my deepest wish for each and every one of you, is to discover within these pages, a similar sense of belonging, enlightenment and empowerment. Just like I did on that transformitive day in August 2022. May each of you find yourselves drawn closer to your ancestors, embracing the richness and wisdom of Indigenous life, with open hearts and open minds.
About me: CEO, Jennifer Cross
I, Jennifer R Cross, am an Indigenous woman from Horse-Lake First Nation, Treaty 8 territory, Northern Alberta, Canada. The Grandfathers named me “Blue Thunder Eagle Spirit World Woman”, a name that took me many years to grow into!As a child, growing up in the bush, I enjoyed a life of hunting and connection to nature. As a teenager though, I faced many challenges, including homelessness and overall an unstable/turbulent life, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. These experiences fuelled my lifelong dream of having a life of love and stability. Outside of my work, I enjoy cross country ski/skating, playing piano, skydiving, listening to music, reading, listening to podcasts, cooking amazing food for friends and family, walking my dogs, travelling, hunting and being present for my loved ones. In recent years, I’ve embarked on a profound journey of physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and financial reclamation. I became sober on January 9th, 2022, which was a milestone that reflects my commitment to walking with The Creator. I deeply value prayer, my family, healthy living, and personal growth. My goal is to inspire others, especially young people, to embrace life with intention and excitement. With dedication and tenacity, I am committed to honouring the vision of Blue Thunder Eagle Inc. and of Project 100, making a immense and positive impact on our communities. Building Blue Thunder Eagle Inc. is my life purpose, a vision revealed to me by The Creator. This project embodies my passion for inclusiveness and aims to offer new perspectives on life and to help others to realise their true potential. I believe that the top of the mountain is not a peak, but a plateau, there is room for us all! ❤️
